Probables to be named in August

The list of 25 Indian cricket probables for the preparatory camp, to be held at Bangalore from August 14 to 26, will  made either in Bangalore or Mumbai in the first week of August.

Board of Control for Cricket in Indian secretary, S K Nair said since a few selectors are holidaying abroad, the selection committee will meet either on August 1 or 3.

"The Indian cricket team will have another one-week conditioning camp from September 1 to 6 before the New Zealanders arrive on September 23 for a two-Test series and a triangular one-day tournament later with Australia as the third team," Nair said.

Asked whether former Australian captain Greg Chappell would be assisting Indian coach John Wright during the preparatory and conditioning camps, Nair said he is not aware of any such move.

Nair also said the Board's Marketing Committee would meet in Mumbai on July 23 and the newly-conceived Corporate Cricket tournament would be discussed duing the working committee meeting to be held next month.
