September 05, 2003 01:40 IST

Speedsters Zaheer Khan and Ashish Nehra on Thursday announced that they have signed as brand ambassadors to leading sports brand Adidas for three years.

Both bowlers will endorse the entire range of Adidas products that include sports footwear, apparel and accessories, along with the other brand ambassadors batsmen Sachin Tendulkar and Virendra Sehwag.

"Ashish and Zaheer embody everything that is good about Indian youth, Indian sport and nationalism," Adidas India Marketing Pvt Ltd Managing Director Tarun Kunzru said in Bangalore, but declined to comment on the financial transaction.

"They are fiery fast bowlers and sportsmen who are athletic," he said, adding Adidas is a brand with a "passion for sports".
