72 years after India played its first Test, an Indian finally hit the nation's first triple Test hundred.

Interestingly, it was not Sachin Tendulkar nor Rahul Dravid nor V V S Laxman who scaled that lofty peak, but the dimunitive master blaster from Najafgarh.

Virender Sehwag.

Veeru joins a distinguished roster of 17 batsmen with names like Bradman and Hammond, Sobers and Lara, Taylor and Hayden who have made triple centuries in the highest form of the game.

Hail the new champion!

Tell Veeru what you think of his epochal feat. We will ensure Veeru and his family get all your congratulatory messages.
