11 - Sachin Tendulkar [Images] became only the 11^th batsman in Test annals to aggregate 2,000 runs against two opponents. His 2,748 against Australia [Images] is now followed by 2,031 against England [Images]. Tendulkar is only the second Indian batsman to do so after Sunil Gavaskar [Images] (who performed this feat against three opponents - England, West Indies [Images] and Pakistan).

4 - The four caught and bowled dismissals provided only the fourth such instance on Indian       soil. The record is of five c&b - between India and New Zealand [Images] at Nagpur in 1969-70. The world record is of six such dismissals - between England and Australia at Lord's in 1890.

2 - Graeme Swann became only the second bowler to take two wickets in his first over in Test cricket (dismissed Gautam Gambhir [Images] off his third ball and Rahul Dravid [Images] off his sixth ball). The only other bowler to perform this feat is another Englishman Richard Johnson (v Zimbabwe at Chester-le-Street in 2003).
