On November 22, Rama Pilot, who is staying in a hotel adjacent to the Congress office in Jhalrapatan, began her day by visiting the town's Gayatri Mandir. Later, she visits various areas and small villages, some of which are literally being swallowed up by the expanding town.

In a village dominated by Bhil and other tribals, which is barely a few kilometres away from the Jhalrapatan town, the road comes to an end just where the government quarters, a part of the town, ends.

Explains a Congress leader, "This is because the town and village's administration are run by different bodies, hence the road could not go into the village." Of course, why the state government could not push the road further remains unanswered.
