Vajpayee congratulates Manmohan

Outgoing Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee telephoned his successor Manmohan Singh on Wednesday night and congratulated him on his appointment to the top post.

Vajpayee telephoned Singh after President A P J Abdul Kalam invited him to form government, official sources said.
