The word's out.
Three men. And a woman calling the shots.
The men? Director Joy Augustine (remember Tere Mere Sapne?) Model-turned-actor Arjun Rampal. The not-so-hit-Mast Aftab Shivdasani.
The woman? A heart-stealer: Aishwarya Rai.
Now trade buzz is working overtime fuelled by news of Ash turning producer with Augustine's new film. It all happened when Augustine narrated the story to her. The actress wasted no time in seeing lights, camera, action for this film.
What's more, as if to ensure it, she even suggested to Augustine that she wanted to produce the film. Ash, for her part, refuses to talk about it, and the modalities are still being worked out. Meanwhile we await an official announcement once the details are worked out.
Now for the story. It's a heroine-oriented film. But n'ash'urally!
Kher-a-damn!
Yes, alright, he shouted his rage from the rooftops.
But his rather ignominous exit from Sawaal Dus Crore Ka does not seem to have unduly perturbed Anupam Kher.
And that is because he has something up his sleeve. A film to direct.
Apparently, Kher has been having secret meetings with producer Vashu Bhagnani, the man who decided to give him a break as director.
The film is said to star Anil Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan and Fardeen Khan opposite Sushmita Sen.
Now, this hasn't been confirmed, but friends of Kher feel that the film will be based on the hit play, All the Best.
You might recall that Jaggu Dada Jackie Shroff was once considering producing a film based on the play with David Dhawan as the director.
Two is company, three, bliss!
If you thought monogamy was a thing of the past, think again.
Here's a man who went into it with eyes wide open. And makes no bones about it.
Lucky Ali, who shot to fame with his private albums to emerge a sought-after playback singer after he lent his voice to heart-throb Hrithik Roshan, candidly admitted to the fact that he had, indeed, remarried.
Five years ago, Ali had met, fallen in love with and married a New Zealander called Megan, who was renamed Masooma after the nikaah. The couple has two children and was said to be happily married.
Then what led to marital discord? "There is no marital discord nor have I remarried," clarifies Lucky, "I am still very much married to Masooma, so there is no question of remarrying. Masooma is aware of my decision. I had informed her about it. I did not cheat her nor have I hidden anything from her."
The new bride is Inaaya, a Parsi girl from Jamshedpur, whom Lucky met in Bombay and fell head over heels in love with.
Justifying his reasons for marrying her, Lucky says, "Since I travel around the continent for almost 15 to 20 days a month, I wanted my family with me. But Masooma could not move around with me because of the kids.
"And I admit I need company. So rather than do something against my conscience, I decided to get married."
Unpleasantness? None. "We are like one big, happy family. Masooma and Inaaya get along well and my kids adore Inaaya."
Suman's man!
'Tis the season to get married.
Lucky Ali has married again. Apna Hrithik is going in for a hush-hush marriage.
Now, sexy Suman Ranganathan is seriously considering matrimony.
Her beau is Gautam Kapoor, a well-known model and upcoming actor, who had broken off with model Sheetal Malhar.
The actress, who has had her share of broken relationships (Rahul Roy and businessman Uru Patel), seems to have succumbed -- she has announced her decision to tie the knot.
"That is why I am not loading myself with work and am completing all my assignments ASAP," Suman clarified.
And it is not as if she plans to quit and settle down to home and hearth. "Yes, but only for the moment," she giggled when questioned about it.
"I want to enjoy my role as wife, and why not? I am definitely open to offers and would consider working after some time."
Gautam, for his part, has no problems whatsoever about wife-to-be acting. "I am pursuing a career as an actor, so what is good for me is good for her as well," he says.
Moving, yes. Shaking? Not quite!
With KBC stealing a march over virtually all of television, Shekhar Suman's domain, Movers And Shakers seems to have lost its zing.
And Shekhar his sting.
Could that explain his extreme polite behaviour towards his star guests?
And does that explain why Shekhar is going easy on the celebrities who agree to come for his show?
Why, unofficial sources even suggest that the onus of bringing in the celebrities is also Shekhar's responsibility. And that he has been honing up his PR skills and inviting celebrities to participate.
What, after all, is Movers And Shakers without celebrities?
