'I'm not getting married'Karisma Kapoor is fed up. Once again, strong rumours about her impending wedding plans are in the air. "I am tired of shouting myself hoarse that I have no such plans in the immediate future. That is the truth and nothing but the truth." Earlier, Karisma clarified such rumours only if she was questioned about them. But now, with sister Kareena's impending debut, she seems to have realised that such rumours are definitely not going to help her career. Love all You had better believe it -- Akshay Kumar is surprisingly serious about the present love of his life. At Rajesh Khanna's invitation, Akshay is said to have officially met the concerned papa. Sources say that Dimple, worried about darling daughter Twinkle's regular meetings with playboy Kumar, asked him to intervene. What conspired during the meeting is not known, but Akshay's secret trysts with Twinkle continue -- which can only mean he has gained parental approval. Does that mean a wedding is in the offing? Let us not get too carried away though; remember the assurances to Raveena Tandon's parents and then to Shilpa Shetty's family? As far as we are concerned, this khiladi has played this particular game once too often. Smart boy, wot? Chandrachur Singh is one smart guy. The poor chap was unceremoniously kicked out of the just-released Kya Kehna and replaced with Salman Khan -- but luckily for Chandrachur, Salman opted out at the last minute and he was back in the frame. Chandrachur realised his role was not very important in the film. Nor was the length much to talk about. So he's been discreetly talking to his pals from the press about how he fears his role would be chopped, besides whimpering about being left out of the promos and press kits. But then, all Chandrachur has to do is watch the promos to realise he has as much footage in them as the other hero, Saif Ali Khan. Now, since Chandrachur is no big draw, how can the producers be blamed even if they decide to minimise his footage? Sunny opts out of Santoshi's Lajja Sunny Deol has finally made up his mind -- he will not be doing Rajkumar Santoshi's Lajja. Santoshi helped Sunny win national awards and citations for both Ghayal and Damini. But the two parted ways when Santoshi teamed up with Sunny's arch rival, Anil Kapoor. Which is why when Sunny accepted Lajja, it looked like the two had kissed and made up. But now that he has walked out, it looks like the problems are yet to be resolved. Though Santoshi cites lack of dates as the reason, insiders claim the Deol felt he was being taken for a ride. He wasn't being paid his price and his role was hardly worth a mention. Besides, it was Anil who had the meatier role. What will Amisha say now? Amisha Patel shouted from the rooftops about how she was overshadowed by Hrithik Roshan in Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai. She told all and sundry how the most important song of the film, which was centred around her, was yanked out from the final edit even though she had danced so well. She suspected it was done because the director felt she had bagged the spotlight from hero Hrithik with this song. One hears the song will be added to the film as a special attraction. And the cost? Over 80 lakhs. Now will Amisha keep shut or would she like to believe that Rakesh Roshan was intimidated by her interviews and added the song only to pacify her? Reema, Raima object to Moon Moon Moon Moon Sen's' daughters don't seem to making the progress they should be… and the person to blamed is mommy dearest. Film-makers who have approached Reema and Raima say it is difficult it is to cast the girls because of mamma's interference. Moon Moon listens to all the stories, makes a hundred odd suggestions and then says the other daughter, and not the one the producers have in mind, suits the role better. Thanks to this, both girls end up losing roles. Doesn't Moon Moon remember whatever headway she made was only because mamma Suchitra Sen refused to interfere with her career? Maybe girls should try approaching grandma Sen for advice and help! Devgan issue postponed Both Tips Music and Devgan Entertainment have decided to postpone their public issues. Quite naturally, the news of the latter caused quite a flutter. Most people read more into the decision and assumed all was not well with Ajay Devgan and Kajol. Of course, none of this is true. Ajay and Kajol's marriage is going strong, Mahima Chaudhary notwithstanding. The only problem is that the market is not too conducive now and the emerging regulations require the company to have stake in the public issue. And that prompted the postponement! Role model Hrithik Roshan is making the most of fame and popularity. After signing up with Coke, Hrithik has been negotiating a deal with a famous brand of motorcycles. This multicrore proposition will definitely make Hrithik richer, but he has been careful enough to plan his ad schedule so that it does not clash with his film shoots. He knows he owes his success to his films. Wish the other actors would also follow his lead and not disrupt shootings of their films when they bag modelling assignments. Did you know? Amitabh Bachchan was Hrishikesh Mukherjee's first choice as Jaya Bhaduri's beloved in Guddi? Having shot with him, Hrishida changed his mind. Amitabh was replaced by Samit Bhanja. That is not all. Amitabh was first cast opposite Rekha in Haseenon Ka Mela. But Rekha didn't fancy working with this lanky newcomer, so she very discreetly had him replaced by the smarter, more handsome and established Sanjay Khan instead!
