What makes Kajol laugh! She's always been one for the uncontrollable giggles. Set Kajol off on what she thinks is funny and she responds, wholeheartedly. One thing that is guaranteed to send Kajol into spasms of unrestrained laughter is when you tell her tales of method actors. So what if it involves her dear friend Shah Rukh Khan? Recently, some people were talking about the Khan's dedication to acting. It seems he had gotten drunk for a particular shot on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas and, in the process, injured himself in his drunken stupor. "What is this method stuff?" Kajol guffawed, almost rolling in the aisles. "Why can't they simply act?" she giggled, and questioned further, "Now what? they have to act dead?" and the peals of laughter grew louder. Govinda hits the panic button! Govinda ight be making a lot of money along with the winners of Jeeto Chappar Phaad Ke. But there are no roles coming his way, the way they are to Amitabh Bachchan. If Sawaal Dus Crore Ka has given Amitabh Bachchan a fresh lease of life and catapulted him back into the limelight, Govinda has not stood to benefit from the quiz show that he is hosting. In fact, if sources close to the star are to be believed, the star is definitely in a state of panic. There are none of the rows of producers queueing outside his house to take him along for the shooting, nor any filmmakers waiting with fat signing amounts. In fact, Govinda has also been reported to have called up filmmakers, requesting them to cast him in their films. And the bait that he dangles is, "Sir, I have changed now. Main bilkul badal gaya hoon aur bilkul time pe aa jataa hoon." Ramgopal Varma to direct a music video! Director Ramgopal Varma to direct a music video? It's true. And it's not just for the love of money. In fact, Varma is taking time off from his hectic schedule to direct this music video. What's the catch? He's doing this because the music video is for music director Sandeep Chowta's new album. And being close buddies, when Sandeep expressed his apprehensions about the concept of the video, Ramu agreed to do it. The question now is, will Ramu convince Urmila Matondkar to act in it?! When yes meant no for Akshaye! There are producers queuing up outside his house. And one would think that Akshaye Khanna would at least give them a silent hearing. But no. He is even walking out of the films that he had signed on. One amongst them being Sanjay Gupta's Indianised version of the Reservoir Dogs, titled Kaante. Apparently, a source close to Akshaye Khanna claims that the star was upset because Sanjay Gupta announced Akshaye's name without his consent: "Yes, Akshaye had agreed to do the film and had even signed a letter of consent. That does not mean he was doing the film. He was only considering it and the final talks were only after Akshaye read the script." So the fact that Akshaye did not like the script is what lead to the walkout. "No comments," says the roly-poly director who would rather talk about singer Lucky Ali who replaced Aksahye in the film. "I am extremely happy now that I have signed Lucky Ali, who is a good artiste. I am confident about his talent. Besides, Lucky is a very focused and balanced guy. And today, in hindsight, it seems he was, and is, the perfect choice for the role." Will he, won't he? Will Sonu Nigam act or will he not? On the one hand, he is blaming producer Ramesh Taurani for the delay and accusing him of shelving the film that he was to work on. On the other, the producer is denying himself hoarse saying that he has no such plans and that the film with Sonu in the lead will be launched. However, a close pal of the singer feels that Sonu is making a hue and cry because he feels that he is losing out on all his singing assignments because music directors feel that Sonu would rather concentrate on his acting. And the same source also spilled the beans: the delay could only be because Sonu has still to groom himself. It seems the first screen test was a disaster and jolted Sonu out of his complacency. So instead of blaming Ramesh Taurani, who has been gracious enough not to spill the beans and is still backing Sonu, the singer should instead concentrate on polishing his act.
