Bhoomika runs for Abhishek!

Bhoomika Chawla's first brush with fame happened when she made her debut in the Telugu film, Khushi. The film was a superhit.

The Hindi version of the film, starring Kareena Kapoor and Fardeen Khan, however, sank.

Bhoomika's entry into Hindi films also made people sit up and notice. Satish Kaushik's Tere Naam came at a time when the film industry recorded a slew of flops.

The film, co-starring Salman Khan, was about a college ruffian who sobers down after he falls in love with a very simple girl. Even the film's dark end did not stop the audiences from thronging to the theatres.

Bhoomika will now appear in her second Hindi film, Run. Directed by Jeeva (12B), and co-starring Abhishek Bachchan, it is a remake of the Tamil hit film with the same name.

Tere Naam saw Bhoomika in traditional outfits; Run sees her in trendy fare.

Run will release on May 14.
