Court adjourns hearing on Togadia's
bail plea till Monday

April 19, 2003 12:47 IST

A court in Ajmer on Saturday adjourned till Monday the hearing on a bail application moved by Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader, Praveen Togadia.

Togadia was arrested on April 13 for delivering an inflammatory speech during a trishul distribution ceremony at a dharam sabha in Ajmer.

Togadia was subsequently booked under Section 121-A of IPC (conspiracy to wage war against the government), among other sections.

The court has now sought from the prosecution a transcript of the speech delivered by Togadia.
