Vajpayee to visit China in June

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee is expected to visit China in the last week of June.

Sources told reporters accompanying the prime minister on his visit abroad that Vajpayee met Chinese President Hu Jintao in St Petersburg on Saturday as part of efforts to know each other and to create a proper atmosphere for the prime minister's upcoming visit.

Deputy Prime Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani has indicated that, among other things, the prime minister may also take up the issue of a change in the route of the Kailash Yatra with Chinese officials.
