Six Congress supporters hacked to death in AP

Six supporters of Congress MLA S Pitchi Reddy were hacked to death allegedly by their political rivals in the faction-ridden Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh on Saturday.

Armed with swords and sickles, about 20 people, allegedly owing allegiance to the ruling Telugu Desam Party, went to Peddavaram early on Saturday morning and attacked the Congress workers after dragging them out of their homes, a senior police officer said.
