Six Indian peaceniks who will act as human shields against the Americans and British bombardment are leaving for Baghdad on early Sunday morning via Jordan.

The peaceniks, who were denied visas from the Iraqi embassy due to the war, got a three day visa for Jordan and plan to proceed to Iraq from there.

Speaking to rediff.com, Suhail Rokadia, general secretary of Raza Academy said, "We have established contact with the international peace activists and they will provide us all help in Jordan."

According to Rokadia, they will be taking the Indian tricolour along with them, including some white flags.

The mission originally included 11 people, but only six have decided to appraise the situation in Iraq. "If we are allowed to enter Iraq then we will ask the rest to join us," said Rokadia.

The six who are going to Iraq are: Suhail Rokadia, Mohammad Saeed Noori, Mohammad Rafique Razvi, Mohammad Arif Razvi, Zaheed and Syed Mazhar.

"We are carrying lots of medicines, clothes, teabags and other essential commodities. If we are not able to cross over Iraq we will distribute it at the refugee center in Jordan," Rokadia said.
