UP introduces reservations in varsity boards

A day after introducing reservations in the judiciary, the Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday decided to give representation to reserved classes in executive councils and shiksha boards of state universities. The Cabinet decided to amend the UP State University Act, 1973, to this effect, an official release said. The Cabinet also decided to amend sections 2, 37 and 49 of the act, which authorise university chancellors to accord affiliation to curriculum run by National Level Independent (Autonomous) Institutions for a limited period on certain terms and conditions.

Sub: Reservations in UP universities
I suggest that 50% of the inmates of jails in UP, and 50% in lunatic asylums, should be reserved for UP politicians.
