Police arrest Veerappan's aide

The Tamil Nadu police on Wednesday arrested 'Kutti' Veerappan, a close associate of sandalwood smuggler Veerappan, at the hill town of Yercaud near Salem.
Kutti Veerappan was wanted in connection with a number of murder, poaching and other cases committed over a period of 10 years, District Superintendent of Police Pon Manickavel said on Thursday.
He was arrested along with another person from the Vasavampatti area of Yercaud during a search operation, Manickavel said.
Also known as Vanaraja, Kutti Veerappan will be handed over to the Special Task Force for interrogation, the police said.

The newsworthy news will be when Veerappan himself is arrested. He has become as much allusive to the Indian authorities as Laden to US. One ...
