R K Laxman gets paralytic stroke

Ace cartoonist R K Laxman suffered a paralytic stroke and was admitted to Poona Hospital on Saturday.

His condition is said to be good, a doctor attending on him said on Monday, adding he is alert and cheerful.

His blood report and other medical parameters are normal, the doctor said.

"We are hoping to bring him to Mumbai in a couple days or by the weekend," his wife Kamala said.
