September 30, 2003 09:30 IST

Pakistan's position on the "Kashmir dispute has not changed", Prime Minister Zafarullah Khan Jamali, who is on a 11-day visit to the United States, said in Washington on Monday.

He said he would project Pakistan's Kashmir policy in line with the "aspirations of the people" during his meeting with American leaders.

During the visit, the Pakistani PM will hold talks with US President George W Bush, Vice-President Dick Cheney, Secretary of State Colin Powell, among others.

The last time a Pakistani PM was on an official visit to the US was on July 4, 1999, when Nawaz Sharief came and met the then president Bill Clinton.
