Indo-Pak talks on bus service Tuesday

March 07, 2004 17:05 IST

Eight Indian officials will arrive in Islamabad on Monday to hold talks with their Pakistani counterparts on starting a bus service between Rajasthan and Sindh province.

The two-day talks over the Munabao-Khokrapar link will start on Tuesday.

The Indian delegation will comprise officials from the ministries of external affairs, road transport and highways and the Rajasthan government.

It will be the second bus service between the two countries; the Delhi-Lahore link resumed in July 2003.

Another Indian delegation will come to Islamabad on March 29 to discuss the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus service.

On October 22, 2003, the two nations had announced that they would start these services as part of confidence-building measures.
