"He may not see the whole match, but he will definitely be watching it in bits and pieces," S M Khan, press secretary to the President, told rediff.com "He loves sports and more so cricket. The President watched the last game in Lahore as well, which India won," he added.

According to officials, Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who is now on a three-day tour of Uttar Pradesh, will also watch the match.

"After all, the series would not have taken place had he not cleared the tour," said an official.

Vajpayee will address a public meeting in Amroha, from where former Test player Chetan Chauhan is contesting for the Lok Sabha election as a Bharatiya Janata Party nominee.

Deputy Prime Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani, whose yatra reaches Chandigarh in the evening, will also watch the match, as his air-conditioned bus has a television.

Former India hockey team captain Ajit Pal Singh, too, will be amongst the millions cheering for the Indian team.

"I will definitely find time to see the match wherever I am and not miss even a single minute of the excitement," he said in New Delhi.

Sarod maestro Amjad Ali Khan, who has a concert in Bhopal today, is not sure if he can catch the action, "but he will definitely pray for an Indian win", his wife said.
