Seer's trial should be held outside TN: Advani

November 26, 2004 13:03 IST

Bharatiya Janata Party president Lal Kishenchand Advani on Friday demanded that all the cases against Kanchi Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswathi be tried outside Tamil Nadu to ensure justice.

"I know it is for the judiciary to decide, but the way things have gone and the way the Shankaracharya has been treated, the people and the nation are concerned... so it is proper to transfer all the cases outside Tamil Nadu," he told reporters at Ranchi.
