Shinde new Andhra governor

Maharashtra's caretaker Chief Minister Sushilkumar Shinde has been appointed governor of Andhra Pradesh, a Rashtrapati Bhavan communique said on Saturday.

Vilasrao Deshmukh to be new Maharashtra CM


Shinde will replace Surjit Singh Barnala, who has been shifted from Andhra Pradesh to Tamil Nadu, the release said.

Barnala succeeds P S Ramamohan Rao, who resigned on Friday.
