Dawood's brother quits electoral arena

Iqbal Kaskar, gangster Dawood Ibrahim's younger brother, who is lodged in a Mumbai jail under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act, has withdrawn his nomination from Umarkhadi assembly constituency in south Mumbai, according to his lawyer Sultan Khan.

He did not say what prompted Kaskar to take the step.
