Foiling militants' plan to target the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus, Border Security Force personnel recovered 117 kg of powerful explosives hidden in four scooters on the route, a BSF spokesman said on Friday.

The scooters were seized on Arampur-Srinagar and Arampur-Highgam roads on the Srinagar-Baramulla Highway Thursday evening.

Acting on specific information that militants will try to target the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus, to be flagged off by the Prime Minister on April 7, BSF troops had set up several check points on the route.

The four explosive-laden vehicles were recovered between 6.30 pm and 7.30 pm, he said.

No arrests have been made so far.
