The Delhi high court on Tuesday continued its stay on the dismissal of All India Institute of Medical Sciences director P Venugopal.

Arguing before a Bench of Justice Anil Kumar, counsel for Vengugopal, Maninder Singh submitted that Valiathan committee report was being suppressed by the government as it had recommended that the Union health minister should not be the ex-officio president of the institution.

The court directed the counsel for Venugopal to file his rejoinder to a government submission on the issue by February 22, 2007.
