Indian intelligence agencies are tightlipped about reports that suggest underworld gangster Dawood Ibrahim, the key accused in the 1993 bomb blast cases, is either injured or has been picked up by Pakistan's Inter Services Intelligence agency.
Reports had said that Ibrahim and Tiger Memon, another key accused in the serial blasts case, were in ISI's custody and that Pakistan may even eliminate them.
The Pakistani administration has been under pressure from the United States to take action against Dawood after Washington declared the latter a terrorist.

Reports about Dawood being injured in an attempt on his life by the rival mafia indicates that he is now a liability to Pakistan and it would be in that country's interest to protect the movement of the man wanted by the US.
India has named Dawood as the most wanted man in their list of 20 top terrorists who are currently taking shelter in Pakistan. Dawood has been living in Karachi ever since he and his family fled India.
A private television channel claimed that reports of Dawood being injured are false and that heis in fine condition. The news channel said Dawood's aide Choota Shakeel denied the incident.
Indian authorities and intelligence agencies are keeping a close watch on the developments in Pakistan.
