Accusing the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance government of conspiring against Hindu religion, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad on Tuesday warned that it would launch an agitation soon if the Maharashtra police did not stop 'harassing' Sadhvi Pragya.

"It is a sheer political conspiracy of the Congress government to malign the Hindu religion and the organisations having aastha and shradha towards dharam and humanity," a senior member of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Kendriya Marg Darshak Mandal, Sriraghvacharya Vedanti, said.

VHP appeals to NHRC, NCW against Pragya's arrest

"No other terrorist was sent for narco and brain mapping tests as frequently as Pragya," said Vedanti.

The VHP is serious about this issue and planning a long term agitation to protect the Hindu religion and get a reprieve for Sadhvi and the army officers allegedly implicated in the Malegaon blast case, he said.

ATS may slap MCOCA on Malegaon blast accused

"Neither any charges against the Sadhvi, nor any narco or brain mapping tests, revealed any facts about her involvement in the blast," he said.

To present Hindus as terrorists in the wake of the Malegaon blast is ridiculous and their comparison with Islamic fundamentalism is insulting, local Sangathan Minister Jugal Kishore said.

I am being framed, claims Sadhvi Pragya

"Hindus are liberal and honest. If any further attempts are made to harass us, we will not sit mute and give befitting reply through agitation or satyagrah," Vedanti added.
