The Governor of Orissa, Murlidhar Bhandare, has been summoned to New Delhi [Images] to understand the gravity of the law and order situation in Orissa, due to the killing of a Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader and subsequent communal violence that rocked parts of the state.
Governor Bhandare will meet Home Minister Shivraj Patil [Images] at 1900 hours at 4 Janpath, the minister's official bungalow. The governor is expected to bring his assessment in the form of a report.
