Brand Advani is more credible than brand Rahul, the Bharatiya Janata Party suggested on Friday and said there is no substitute for experience both in governance and delivery.
"In our leader L K Advani [Images], we have a long and credible experience to project and display before the voters," BJP spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy told media-persons in Nagpur.
"His tall stature, maturity and holistic approach is before the people to see," he said, adding enthusiastic party cadres were on the job to take to the people, the BJP's message and the choice of Advani for the top post.
Asked if BJP had an answer to Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi [Images] at a time when 40 per cent of the population consisted of young people, Rudy said: "There is no substitute for experience...in governance and delivery."
The day-long National Executive of the party deliberated on the poll strategy and arrived at a conclusion that these days, people consider the leader who represent the party, he said.
The party also observed that young voters "opt to vote breaking caste and community barriers", he said.
