A local Mumbai [Images] court on Thursday remanded Imran Shehzad, an alleged Lashkar-e-Tayiba [Images] operative suspected to be involved in the November 26 Mumbai terror strikes, to judicial custody till February 5. The Mumbai crime branch had taken custody of Imran from the Uttar Pradesh [Images] police in connection with the 26/11 terror attacks. Imran was brought to Mumbai on January 8 after which he was remanded to police custody till today. As the crime branch did not seek his further custody, he was sent to judicial custody till February 5. Imran was arrested last year for his alleged involvement in the attack on the CRPF camp at Rampur in Uttar Pradesh on December 31, 2007. Two other accused in the case, Faheem Ansari and Sabauddin Ahmed, who are in police custody till tomorrow in connection with the Taj hotel [Images] firing case, were brought to Mumbai on December 18. According to the crime branch, the trio had allegedly undergone arms training in LeT camps in Pakistan.
