Paes in third round of men's doubles

Indian tennis ace Leander Paes is having a great outing at the Australian Open. On Friday, he won both his doubles and mixed doubles matches. Partnering David Rikl of the Czech Republic, he advanced into the third round of the men's doubles. The pair beat Moroccans Hicam Arazi and Younes El Aynaoui 7-6 (7/4), 6-1. In the mixed doubles, Paes and former tennis great Martina Navratilova won against Australians Scott Draper and Lisa McShea 6-3, 7-5. Paes's former partner Mahesh Bhupathi, who crashed out in the first round of the doubles, partnering Joshua Eagle of Australia, also advanced into the third round of the mixed doubles. He and and Uzbek partner Iyoda Tulyaganova overcame America's Brian McPhie and Japan's Rika Fujiwara 6-2, 6-2.
