Hockey players to get Rs 1 lakh each

Hockey high in Hyderabad

 The Indian Hockey Federation decided to award Rs 100,000 to each member of the team which defeated Pakistan en route to the Afro-Asian Games gold medal.

The announcement was made by IHF president K P S Gill after the final in Hyderabad on Friday.

Sports Minister Vikram Verma also congratulated the team on its convincing 3-1 victory.
