Qatar's Al Jazeera television channel on Friday aired an audiotape with a message, reportedly from deposed Iraqi president Saddam Hussein.

The voice in the tape called upon Iraqis to resist American occupation of their nation. It said the tape was recorded on July 27.

Earlier, the Al Arabiya channel had aired a tape in which a voice, reportedly that of Hussein, acknowledged the death of his sons, Uday and Qusay.
