Wright to stay for another year

The Board of Control for Cricket in India is set to extend coach John Wright's contract by a year.
Similar extensions are on the cards for the tenure of physio Andrew Leipus and physical trainer Adrian Le Roux.
The BCCI, in all likelihood, will endorse the extensions at its working committee meeting in Delhi on April 26-27.
According to BCCI sources in Kolkata, the board's top guns informally decided to retain all the three key members of Team India's support apparatus.
"An informal decision was taken this week at the behest of BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya," the source said, adding that there wasn't any opposition to the decision because of India's creditable performance in the World Cup.
Wright's contract lapsed after the end of the World Cup, but he was given an ad-hoc extension till May 24. He has been with the Indian team since November 2000.
The extension was given so that he could be with the team through the triangular tournament in Dhaka, beginning April 11.
He was supposed to join the team from the start of the championship, which also involves Bangladesh and South Africa, but following his father's death in Christchurch last week, will take charge midway through the tournament.
Former India Test batsmen Ashok Malhotra will be the coach for the first game after which Wright will take over.
